My brother hit a coyote (we think; there wasn't much left of it afterwards) while cruising down a desert highway, and it did a number on his Pontiac:

Looks like it went right into his radiator support and A/C condenser. The A/C appears to be holding pressure OK, so I'll probably grab a radiator comb and try to fix some of those bent fins. The undercover was pretty badly damaged, and the lower mouth grille was completely destroyed.

The front bumper cover took a beating, too. The turn signal / corner marker in the picture was pretty much destroyed, and you can see the big tear in the cover.

It looks like the animal went all the way under the car too. One of the exhaust hangers was missing it's rubber donut and had fur on it, and the rear lower valence was torn off:

My brother isn't exactly made of money, bodywork isn't cheap, and I'm pretty sure he has liability only insurance. Any suggestions for fixing this on the cheap?

Take a run to the local Pick and Pull. You can check online if they have that same car. It's fairly cheap, and they should have the right parts there.

Do what so many people would do. Sue the Department of Natural Resourses for letting thos animals run free.
